Local Luxury founder, Katrina Barrett, and 40-year industry veteran, Walt Danley, will lead the brokerage with a continued focus on luxury real estate sales in Phoenix’s upscale Northeast Valley.

PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. (March. 15, 2023) – Tallying a combined $700 million in sales in 2022 and representing some of Arizona’s most iconic properties, Local Luxury Real Estate and Walt Danley Christie’s International Real Estate have been two of Arizona’s most prolific and sought-after luxury brokerage firms. Today, the companies announced that they are joining forces following an acquisition by Local Luxury. The combined firm will be known as Local Walt Danley | Christie’s International Real Estate and will serve the upscale communities in metro Phoenix's Northeast Valley, including Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and Arcadia.  

Local Walt Danley will remain the exclusive Phoenix-area affiliate of global luxury real estate brand Christie’s International Real Estate, giving the company access to world-class marketing and technology, a national and international brokerage network, and a connection to the iconic Christie’s auction house to refer the sale of art and luxury goods.

The acquisition unites two of Arizona’s most accomplished real estate professionals. Katrina Barrett, founder and designated broker at Local Luxury Real Estate, quickly ascended to become one of the leading producers in Paradise Valley. She ranked as the #2 agent in the entire state of Arizona in 2021 with sales volume of more than $300 million, and she has been recognized as one of the top 100 agents in the United States for the past three years. Meanwhile, Walt Danley has been selling luxury homes in the Northeast Valley for more than 40 years, consistently ranking among the top 1% of REALTORS® in the United States. He has been involved in several record-setting transactions, including the sale of a $21 million estate in Paradise Valley last year.

Local Walt Danley | Christie’s International Real Estate now has 115 agents in three offices: Arcadia, Paradise Valley and North Scottsdale, with plans to open a fourth office in Flagstaff in the near future. Barrett said she expects the firm to top $1 billion in sales in 2023.
