Tour Saint Barthélemy’s Most Expensive Listing: Domaine de Vignette
April 25, 2025
Domaine de Vignette overlooks the sunsets and white sands of Colombier Beach, with the Caribbean Sea and the islands of Saba and St. Eustatius in the distance.

The 2.1-acre tropical compound is in Les Étoiles, a private, gated enclave of four estates in the remote northwest quartier of the island, a jet-set paradise in the French West Indies.

In 2024, designer Rémi Tessier led a multi-million-dollar renovation of the estate. “The style of the property is timeless,” said Tessier, whose interior designs include private jets and superyachts. Tessier said he strove to combine “understated luxury with an exotic spirit, reinterpreted through a refined island aesthetic.”

Domaine de Vignette consists of nine luxurious bungalows (including the pro-grade kitchen, the family room and the dining room). In total, there are six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, as well as powder rooms near the main terrace and within the pool house.

The primary suite, in its own dedicated bungalow, the two guest bungalows and the VIP cottage (two bungalows), each have their own terrace. Ancillary structures include a staff bungalow and a garage, as well as outdoor parking for multiple vehicles.

The structures are connected by teak walkways leading to the heart of the property: a magnificent wade-in swimming pool and terrace with its sea-view outdoor lounge and bar. The pool house has changing rooms—and a water extractor that dries swimsuits in just eight seconds.

The tropical gardens are landscaped with a multitude of exotic trees and plants, about 70 species in all, including royal, coconut, and Bismarck palms; traveler’s tree; mango; elephant ears; bougainvillea; laurel; and Bird of Paradise.

The service and maintenance systems are hidden from view in a vast underground structure. The property is equipped with advanced home-automation, air conditioning, and a back-up generator.

A stroll away lie the white powder sands and sapphire sea of Colombier Beach, accessible only by boat or hiking trail. Nearby, Flamands Beach is a 20-minute hike, and the glamour of Saint Barthélemy’s capital, Gustavia, is a short drive.
