CHICAGO and BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (March 26, 2024) – Christie’s International Real Estate, the world’s preeminent luxury real estate brand, is making its return to the Caribbean Island of Barbados through a partnership with boutique real estate firm Barbados Luxury Listings. The brokerage, founded by veteran Barbados broker Dominique Silvera-Chittell in 2020, will rebrand as Christie’s International Real Estate Barbados and will serve as the island’s exclusive Christie’s International Real Estate affiliate. The move brings the Christie’s International Real Estate brand back to the island following a five-year hiatus. In her 25 years selling island real estate, Silvera-Chittell has become the go-to agent for luxury on Barbados, achieving career sales of more than USD $350 million. She will lead the rebranded brokerage alongside Candice Jenkins and Alyssa Klein, who together bring more than 30 years of marketing and management experience in the international travel, hospitality, and real estate industries. The brokerage is a reunion for Silvera-Chittell and Klein, who worked together at Barbados’ former Christie’s International Real Estate affiliate – Silvera-Chittell in sales, and Klein in marketing. This venture for the three partners has happened organically, with all of them hailing from different parts of the world and joining forces in Barbados.“Having been a part of the Christie’s International Real Estate network in the past, we feel extremely privileged to bring this exceptional real estate brand back to Barbados,” said Silvera-Chittell. “In recent years, a wealth of new luxury homes and branded developments have created a palpable buzz on the island, making it the ideal time to re-introduce island buyers and sellers to all that the Christie’s International Real Estate brand has to offer.”Silvera-Chittell’s brokerage, with the support of Jenkins, has made a name for itself as one of the few woman-owned luxury real estate firms on the island. Located in St. Thomas Parish, the office will continue to primarily serve Barbados’ west coast, often referred to as the “Platinum Coast” for its beautiful beaches and upscale homes and resorts.“With their incredible track record of success and a familiarity with Christie’s International Real Estate, Dominique, Candice and Alyssa are the perfect team to bring our bespoke service, world-class marketing, and global network back to buyers and sellers in Barbados,” said Natalie Hamrick, president of affiliate services, Christie’s International Real Estate.Natural beauty, a welcoming culture, and taxation treaties with several countries have long made Barbados a highly desirable market for high-end real estate.
